Funding Details
CASSI has a number of funding sources that enable us to undertake the work we do. These include the Department of Veteran Affairs, private trust funds and now most commonly through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Importantly, CASSI provides the same depth and scope of support, to each person who uses our services, regardless of the source of their funding.
We engage individually and directly with each person to explore their dreams and aspirations. And from that, together we are able to build, design and implement a support approach.
The NDIS
The NDIS is a government program which is the result of agreements between the Commonwealth and all of the States and Territories for a newly designed approach to funding and service delivery.
The general purpose of the NDIS includes the opportunity to create a standard national approach to the funding of support to people with a disability. This provides an emphasis on the choice and control by people with a disability, as expressed in formal plans that will be in place for each person participating in the scheme.
CASSI is registered as a support service with the NDIS. Information about the NDIS can be found on ndis.gov.au. CASSI charges for support and are consistent with the NDIS Support Catalogue, including the Temporary Transformation Payment.
